Anchor text

An anchor text is a word or set of words that are linked to another page and they typically appear as blue text to the reader. So content around the anchor text sends a signal to the Search Engine, the relevancy of the linked page

Best Practices

Use keyword-rich anchor text whenever possible and make sure you anchor text is natural to web copy

Do not over optimize the anchor text (Do not do keyword stuffing)

Do not use exact same keyword to every link’s anchor text

Create one unique URL per unique piece of content. Do not mess your site content by creating several URLs to same piece of content

Do not use the same anchor text for different pages because Google will confuse with it

You can put the internal link closer to the top of your page so that you can  reduce your bounce rate and improve Dwell Time.

Use Dofollow in link to pass the authority to next page

You can create internal link from homepage to important page (or Pillar Pages) to pass the authority
